How it Works
Revolver® is readily absorbed by foliage and translocated to the site of action in the growing points of the plant. At the growing points, Revolver inhibits the enzyme acetolactate synthase, which stops the plant’s production of three key amino acids. As a result, cell division and growth stop within hours of a Revolver application. Chlorosis in the target weed progresses to necrosis after a few days, followed by weed death in one to four weeks. Weed death occurs more quickly at warmer temperatures.

FAQ

Q: Why use a chemical transition aid when all I have to do is wait for hot weather?
A: Initial research has demonstrated that new perennial ryegrass species that are being used for overseeding persist, even in hot, dry weather. Using Revolver will stop ryegrass from competing with bermudagrass and allow turf to fill in more completely during summer months. This establishes a strong bermudagrass base for the remainder of the season and in preparation for the next year.

Q: Which warm-season turf species are tolerant to Revolver?
A: Revolver may be used on the following turf cultivars:
  • bermudagrass – common, Tifway 419, Tifgreen 328, Tifsport, Tifdwarf and Vamont
  • zoysiagrass – Meyer

Other cultivars also may be tolerant to Revolver, but tolerance testing should be done before using on any turf species not listed above.

Q: Where can Revolver be used?
A: Revolver is intended for professional use on golf course turf, sports fields, commercial lawns, cemeteries, parks, campsites, recreational areas, home lawns, roadsides, school grounds and sod farms.
